Congratulations to the University of Central Oklahoma on being recognized as one of the top 10 schools in the nation for their dedication to student engagement.
UCO tied with five other universities and colleges for sixth place on the “Top Schools for Engagement” list as published by the Wall Street Journal / Times Higher Education College Rankings for 2016.
UCO is a public university situated on a 210-acre property in the heart of Edmond, Oklahoma.
Annual enrollment is around 16,500 students, and they have a student to faculty ratio of 19:1.
The Wall Street Journal and Times Higher Education determine the rankings for school engagement by scoring colleges on how engaged students feel they are with their professors and their education.
A survey comprised of seven key questions was sent to 100,000 current university and college students across the nation with a minimum participation requirement of 50 students needed for a school to be included in the rankings.
According to the WSJ, schools that rank high in engagement offer an education that can have more depth and meaning.
“We put a great deal of emphasis on producing engaged citizens,” UCO President Don Betz said.
Dordt College ranked No. 1 on the list with Auburn University and Bradley University also being included in the top 10. Expert TA is honored to work with faculty from these top-ranked schools mentioned, and as fellow Oklahoma residents we are proud to see UCO honored for their outstanding work.
